Fantastic cake mix! May 4, 2008 T. Young (OK, USA) I recently purchased this product at a local grocery store for my mother, who has recently been diagnosed as gluten intolert. She was visiting me from Delaware, and I knew how much she missed desserts and wheat bread and hoped I could find something she could enjoy. We were all amazed at how wonderful the cake was. Even my finicky husband couldn't tell the difference between it and a cake made from wheat flour. My mother was ecstatic that she could actually enjoy dessert again! I told her I would check Amazon to see if it was available there, and then I could send it directly to her. When we saw that it was, she ordered it right then along with Bob's Red Mill gluten free bread, corn bread, and pancake mix which she had also tried from our local grocery store and loved. When she got back to Delaware her order was waiting, and she shared the products with my brother and sister who are also gluten intolerant. She's thrilled to be able to eat very good "normal tasting food" again.

I have not had any cake for almost 2 years; and decided to try this cake mix and serve it to guests (good friends who would tell me the truth about it) last night and made my own butter cream frosting. It was such a hit! Even my husband who does not like most of the gluten free items was delighted.....I am certain to keep this in my pantry. No one could tell the difference and I baked it in a bundt pan for easy slicing. (Have done this anyway for years.) Just be sure to grease the pan well.

I have family members that need to follow a celiac diet. I have made this cake twice. It's rich and moist. Tastes great! Try a butter cream frosting with Navita raw chocolate powder.
