These are a very good product. The oats are "not" quick cooking oats though. I use them in bars, meatloaf and as hot oatmeal. I will definately buy again.

I had a difficult time locating gluten-free oats locally, but found these online and was not disappointed. I used them in a recipe for oatmeal-raisin bars along with gluten-free flour and the end product was wonderful. No one even suspects they are gluten-free. Can't wait to use them again when following other recipes requiring oats.

These oats are wonderful! Just a warning to Celiacs who have not eaten oats for a while, start with small amounts!

5 out of 5 stars Better Safe Than Sorry   February 8, 2008

For celiac sufferers and those with wheat allergens, it's hard to find breakfast foods without wheat or wheat contamination. Laura's Oats are the solution. They are not Laura Scudders, by the way. That's a misprint. They are made by Cream Hill, a facility dedicated to purity, because they have someone in the family with celiac disease. Buying through Amazon.com is less expensive (and easier to find in stock) than through the gluten-free food sites, but you must buy in bulk. Even Whole Foods doesn't have safe oatmeal, so it's worth it to get a 4-pack.

5 out of 5 stars Good, but the brand name is wrong   November 29, 2007

These are indeed gluten-free oats, but the brand is Lara's Cream Hill Estates, not Laura Scudder's as mentioned in the description. These packages used to sell for nearly $8 each at my local health food store, but they no longer carry it. The Amazon price for four packages is a bargain. It's SO nice to be able to have oats again while maintaining a gluten-free diet.
