It is a good machine. I just wish I could stop the beeping. It would be nice if there was a choice of turning the beeping off if you don't need to add anything to the bread.
I thought the quality inside the machine was going to be better than it is, but I have to say that it does make good bread.

I've used it twice in two days. So far I've been very pleased. I use it in tandem with an older unit, loading them both at the same time. So far so good. Other reviews noted that the loaf pan pops out? It happened once but a turn of the motor or paddle solved that. It needed to seat. As to the obnoxious beep, I disabled the mix beep. So far I've had no problems with it. I broke the older unit, but not disabling it, by not securing it from it's tendency to "walk." It fell onto the kitchen floor during one kneading cycle! This Cuisinart unit shows no penchant for taking unscheduled walks! The older unit also has a lower lid causing 2lb loaves sometimes to stick to the roof of the lid, much like peanut butter to the roof of my own mouth! The Cuisinart unit appears to have plenty of clearance to prevent that eventuality! I like the "remove the paddle" beep! Happy baking!

Okay. I'm looking for a bread machine and I have never used one. As a matter of fact, I despise baking so you can see that I need something quite special. Something for a beginner. Something pretty much foolproof. But, most of all, something that will last and deliver it's promises. After reading what seemed to be thousands of reviews, I decided to go with the Cuisinart. Years ago, you were able to buy a product without the bells and whistles and still get an EXCELLENT product. Unfortunately, today that just doesn't happen. So, this machine does have bells and whistles. But, it's simple to work! I followed the instructions and much to my amazement am making the most incredible bread ever. Also, please note that the instruction booklet is amazing. One language - English. That's always a plus. There are tons of recipes and they're easy. I feel that I'm on my way to culinary school! So, if you're like me who insists on quality products, am anxious to make bread and have it work each time, this is the machine to get. It's quiet - it doesn't "walk" around during the kneading process like some reviewers claimed about different machines - easy to use and it feels "quality". I have a galley kitchen (tiny) with very little counter space and it doesn't take up much room at all. In fact, I plan on leaving it out on the counter. So, let me save you the time and research - this is the ONE. Worth every penny...

I am a long time bread maker and have owned almost every brand of bread machine, including the Zojirushi, which I also love. I just ordered the Cuisinart Convection Bread Machine this past week, and after receiving it, I have found it to be a wonderful bread machine. The french bread recipe as printed in the book was especially delicious, with a fabulous crust. Normally, I don't bake in my bread machines and only use them for the dough cycles. But, after having great success with the french bread recipe, I do plan to do more baking in the machine, as opposed to using the dough cycle, shaping it by hand, then baking it in my oven. One complaint I have read as I did on-line research before purchasing my Cuisinart, I have found not to be correct. After starting a cycle and then deciding to stop the machine to start another cycle, I have, indeed, been able to do this, without waiting 15 minutes, as I had read in some of the reviews. You only have to press the stop, pause button and hold it down for about three seconds. This will stop the machine and then you can proceed to reprogram the machine for a different cycle. This is explained on page 3 of the instruction booklet that came with it. The recipe book is one of the best I've seen to come with a breadmaker and I look forward to trying many of the recipes.
