great bread machine August 28, 2008 C. Meyer (OK) This is a great bread machine. It is everything the manufacturer said. I have made several different types of bread, including the dough cycle, and all worked well.
Works fine for >1yr...but... August 17, 2008 L. Lundgren (Acworth, Ga United States) Well, I've been reading some of the reviews. Guess I'd throw in my 2c. I've had mine for about 14months. I make around 1 loaf of stone ground whole wheat bread per week. Fwiw, this is my second machine (had a DAK for the first). For the most part the loaves come out very well and of consistant texture. I have two complaints: first the tabs that hold the pan down bent, so it's not all that secure. Some users have had trouble with the pan coming out of the the motor. I haven't had that problem, but can see it happening (I make only 2-lb loafs- maybe the extra weight holds it down[?]). Secondly, and the reason why I'm looking around on the net regarding the Breadman, is that the teflon is coming off the pan. On the inside there is two slightly raised areas. It is there that the the teflon is off, down to the metal. I also like adding sunflower seeds. Apparently, this is too abrasive for the pan as there are numerous scratches on the bottom of the pan. I would give if a much lower score if didn't give me consistantly good loaves and was so easy to use. It seems on the cheap side, but after 14 months all is well.
