I'm not sure how to describe these--they're kind of styrofoam-y. I don't care for them at all, they just lack taste all together. I am giving them 3 stars, though, because 2 of my kids LOVE these things! So, I don't regret getting the case because they'll get eaten, but not by my 2 who are on the restricted diet (who I got these for!)
