My 8 year old loves these bars! March 18, 2008 christine (NY) My son is on a gluten/casein free diet and loves these breakfast bars- both blueberry and the apple. He used to eat Nutragrain bars when he was little (before the diet). So, these are a nice substitute. They actually crumble less than Nutragrain bars- which we used to have to keep in the fridge.
Awful March 15, 2008 GFMom I'd have to agree with another reviewer that these bars are the worst gf food product out there. Also tried the apple ones and they were just as bad. The taste is impossible to describe, even my children did not like them. We ended up throwing out the boxes and wasted alot of money. We prefer the EnviroKids Crispy Rice Bars. I WOULD NOT recommend these Glutino bars to anyone.
Gluten free bars-it is what it is February 27, 2008 Amy S (San Francisco, CA United States) My 2 year old likes these bars but doesn't love them. She eats them but not all at once which says to me they are just ok. But, when her older brother is eating a regular cereal bar, at least these look similar. I've tried them and they are ok.
UGH, awful! February 16, 2008 A. Mulligan (NJ) Probably one of the worst tasting gluten-free products on the market today. I usually really like Glutino products, but they really missed the mark on this one.
Awful February 11, 2008 E. Lily (PA) For one thing, it seems that food companies seem to be under the impression that everybody who is allergic to gluten is also rich. Insanely pricey- it MIGHT be worth it if they tasted like anything other than chalk. There are MUCH better gluten/wheat free bars out there that are much more worthy of your $. These have such an aftertaste. Blueberry flavor is the lesser of the evils, though. Save the chocolate flavor for somebody you have a score to settle with.
